First aid is the care given to a casualty before professional help arrives. It can come from a member of the family, a friend, or a stranger who happens to be on the spot, but the help they give can literally mean the difference between life and death.

Aim of this course
The aim of first aid are to preserve life; to prevent the worsening of any injuries; and to promote recovery.

Stage 1 What Is First Aid & Why It Is Needed.
Stage 2 First Aid (The Legal Aspects)
Stage 3 Theory of First Aid
Stage 4 Practical Work
Stage 5 Assessment & Certification
​At the end of this course, learners will be able to:

List actions to be taken in the event of an emergency occurring at their place of work

Use cardiopulmonary resuscitation methods, including use of an AED
-
Provide first aid to an unconscious casualty

Provide first aid to a choking casualty

Describe the correct actions to take with regard to control of wounds and bleeding
-
Describe the correct actions to take with regard to a range of other first aid situations
