Due to the immense difficulties encountered Session in meeting our statutory obligation for end of life care training, this training session has been prepared to ensure that all staff are fully up-to-date with regard to their end of life care responsibilities.

Aim of this course
This course will enable participants to have a greater understanding of their End of Life Care responsibilities.
​At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
  1. Describe the key principles of palliative care and end of life care
  2. Describe the principles of good practice within the process of advance care planning
  3. Explain the purpose of assessment in end of life care
  4. Explain what is included in a holistic assessment
  5. Describe the core steps in the assessment of symptoms to reach a diagnosis
  6. Describe the principles of good communication in end of life care.
